Become a Member of the Austrian Society for Philosophy (ŒGP)
Anyone who has obtained a doctorate in philosophy or has completed a degree in philosophy as their major subject at a university may become a full member of the Austrian Society for Philosophy (ŒGP). Applications for membership are decided by the ŒGP Presidency. The Presidency may also approve the admission of other qualified natural or legal persons. Membership is also open to non-Austrian applicants.
Since 2019, the regular annual membership fee has been €30 per calendar year. For students, unemployed persons, precariously employed persons, and retirees, the reduced membership fee is €20 per calendar year. Members have a seat and voting rights in the General Assembly; they receive the ŒGP newsletter and a reduced participation fee for ŒGP congresses. Further information can be found in the statutes of the ŒGP.
Interested? Then please send us an email at oegp.praesidium[at]gmx.at.
Please include your name and address, as well as a short description of your philosophical education and work.
By applying for membership, you acknowledge that the annual membership fee has been €30 since January 2019 (€20 reduced for students, unemployed persons, precariously employed persons, and retirees) and that admission as a member is decided by the Presidency.
